What are your opening and closing times?

The opening and closing times of each centre are listed on their information page.

Can I Bowl in my own shoes?

Yes, adults can bowl in their own shoes at our centres, as long as they are a flat soled, closed toe shoes. All regular and promotional tarrifs include an allowance for shoe hire of £1.00 per person. No discount is offered for customers using their own shoes. 

What's your dress code?

There is no set dress code, other than that we ask our guests to remove any hoods and caps so that we can see their smiling faces! Obviously, we ask that you behave appropriately and considerately at all times, which covers wearing appropriate clothing for a family centre.

What are the age restrictions for bowling?

There are no restrictions, although we suggest that given the weight of bowling balls, the minimum age for a child to bowl is four. As long as you’re fit and strong enough, there is no upper age limit, and we love to see all ages coming together to have great fun on the lanes. Of course, areas of our centres have age restrictions, so we can't allow under 18's in our bar after 9pm. Under 18's are also only allowed in our premises after 6pm with a responsible adult/parent or legal guardian. We will ask for proof of age. The junior age range is from 0-15 years old.

Do you offer concessions?

Yes, we offer concessionary rates of around 50% to those with disabilities (and their carers) and seniors. These rates are available every weekday before 6pm, for 48 weeks out of 52, including the summer and Easter holidays. There are certain limited ‘peak’ periods where it is not always possible to offer any concessionary discounts. This applies to all our concessionary or promotional rates, including those with disabilities (and their carers), adult, family, student and senior groups.

Can I make an advanced booking for bowling?

Yes. As our bowling centres can get very busy at peak times, and we don’t like turning people away, we always advise people to book online in advance, which you can do here, or by calling us on the page for your local centre.

What kind of credit cards and debit cards do you accept when booking online?

We accept Visa, Mastercard and Maestro.

Do you offer discounts for large parties, group bookings and students?

What information do you have on making a kids’ party booking?

We’ve a great range of kids’ party packages available to meet your needs and ensure all have a great time on Hollywood’s bowling lanes. See our bowling party packages page for further information and prices. Minimum party numbers vary by centre. Please use our contact us form to find out more.

What food and drinks are available?

Each Hollywood Bowl provides a bar and café or diner area where you can purchase food and drink. We can also serve to the bowling lanes, meaning you don’t have to stop having fun for a second to fill up on great food and drink. Please click here for our current menus.

What age is classed as junior for bowling?

The junior age range is from 0-15 years old. We suggest that the minimum age for a child to bowl is 4, but it is solely dependent on the child and their ability. Our smallest ball is XS, which is 6lb in weight. We do have ramps that let kids push the ball at speed instead of bowling by hand, and bumpers that stop the balls going into the gutter.

How long does a game last and how many people can bowl per lane?

Generally we advise 6 people to a lane with the maximum being 8 in some centres. You pay for each bowling game, which is not given any set time period. The more players on your lane, the longer the game will last. One game for six adults would typically last about an hour.

How do I cancel or amend a booking?

To cancel or amend a booking please call our contact centre via telephone or complete the contact form on our website. There are no rights of refund or exchange and you acknowledge that the cancellation rights contained in the Consumer Protection (contracts regulations 2014) do not apply to the services we offer. We will however move your booking to a future date free of charge for you. If you contact us to do so. For full terms please see our T+C's page.

Are Gift Vouchers available?

Yes, we have vouchers available for either £10 or £20. These can be bought from your local centre directly or you can call our contact centre on 0844 826 1457. Alternatively, if you’re interested in gift vouchers as part of employee rewards, please email information@hollywoodbowl.co.uk for more details or submit your enquiry to us via our contact form. Calls cost 7p per minute, plus your telephone company’s network access charge.
